Exhausting Double-Headers
Man, I'm exhausted! Our church softball team Sanctuary played two games today at Parkway Park. Although we lost both games, I was particularily proud of the way some of the girls played today. Michelle and Katherine made a couple of great plays. Me, I stunk up the joint. I made too many errors to even count....and I'm the head coach of the team! Hehe. Go figure!
The devo that Long and I did went pretty well. I just pray that it made an impact on those listening.
After the second game, a few of us went out for dinner. I was personally very encouraged to see some players from Reconciliation, the other softball team in our church, come to cheer us on and have dinner with us. It was a great way to fellowship and get to know my brothers and sisters better.
Our dinner at The Pickle Barrel was good. We had some good discussions-- sometimes of a more serious matter and other times, just downright non-sensical fun. I'm really looking forward to building on our brotherhood and sisterhood and really continue to serve our Lord and Saviour together as a family of Christ.
That is my prayer. In Christ.
